Your personal profile in Modari stores the basic data that identifies you: what your name is, how we contact you, and in which language you prefer to use the platform. This information is yours and only you can edit it, with a few specific exceptions we clarify below.
To access your profile, go to Settings → Profile from the dashboard's side menu.
What you can edit yourself
Full name
It is the name your team members see inside the dashboard, the one that appears as the sender when you send messages, and the one that shows on invoices you issue to your customers from the Billing module. Maximum 100 characters.
We recommend using your real name: if your team grows, it helps a lot that each member is easily identifiable. Nicknames like "the boss" or initials like "JR" do not work well in pipelines and reports.
Phone number
The phone is used mainly for identity verification during signup and, if you need it, for our support team to get in touch with you. Maximum 20 characters.
If you change numbers, update it as soon as you can. An outdated phone can complicate your account recovery if you ever lose it.
Language
Modari is available in Spanish and English. Your preference is saved in your profile and applies on all platform screens. When you first enter, we automatically detect your browser's language and use it as default, but you can change it whenever you want.
The language change does not affect other workspace members —each one sees the platform in the language they chose.
What you cannot edit yet
For simplicity and security, at this stage of Modari there are some fields that are not edited directly from the profile. We explain what happens with each one:
The email you signed up with is your unique identifier. It cannot be changed from the profile because modifying an account's email has important security implications and must go through a verification process that is not built yet.
If you need to change the email (for example, you switched companies or your old email no longer works), write to support from the new email and from the old email (if it still works). We make the change manually after verifying your identity.
Profile picture (avatar)
Avatar uploads are not available yet. For now, where your avatar appears we show your name's initials with a color generated from your email. We are working to add this feature soon.
Personal time zone
There is no personal time zone yet. Dates and times are shown in the workspace's time zone. If you work from a zone different from the workspace's and need times converted to yours, write to us so we can coordinate.
Your data and your privacy
All the information we store about you lives in an encrypted database and is only accessible to the workspace members you belong to, according to each one's permissions.
Three important guarantees you have about your data:
- We do not sell or share your information with third parties for advertising purposes. Full details are in the privacy policy.
- You can request a copy of your data at any time, including what your team recorded about you inside the platform. Write to support and we deliver a file with your information in less than 30 days.
- You can request the deletion of your account and the associated data. The process requires identity verification and can take a few days, especially if you are part of an organization with several members (we must coordinate the transition of records that belong to you).
Sign out vs. delete account
Do not confuse the two things:
- Sign out simply ends the current session on this device or browser. Your account still exists intact, and you can come back whenever you want.
- Delete account permanently removes your personal data from the system. It is irreversible —we cannot recover it afterwards.
If you only want to stop using Modari for a while, signing out is enough. If you decide you no longer want to have an account, then comes the deletion process.
Best practices
- Keep your name and phone updated. If they change, update them as soon as you can. This data is critical if you ever need to recover access to your account.
- Review your profile periodically to confirm that the information is still correct. Once a year is enough.
- Do not use your full name in sensitive data unless necessary. For example, if your email is shared with contacts, consider using a more professional version of your name.

With this we close the account and security category. To explore other topics, go back to the main documentation.
